We worked hard on statistics about promoción (i.e. passing a certain subject after doing extra work) and dropout. We brought this up at many meetings and also, faced with specific situations, we asked for explanations when we saw templates that showed a large number of failed exams. We asked the teachers for an explanation and then we went to see them.
We went to the trouble of checking out what was going on in that classroom. And sometimes it was also the need to get support. Providing resources was a strategy to be able to change what was happening in class and later in exams.
